Many couples put off discussing finances until the relationship becomes serious or even after marriage. However, a survey found that 49% of respondents sometimes, often, or always felt scared or embarrassed to discuss finances openly with a partner. Couples should consider discussing finances early on, including debt, budgeting, and shared expenses, to build trust and plan for the future. The survey also found that 54% of respondents would consider signing a prenuptial agreement before marriage.
