A weekend storm forced a couple to move their Block Island wedding celebration to the mainland days before the ceremony. Maya Bass and her fiancé, Jeff, had spent a year planning their wedding on Block Island, a place that held special meaning for Jeff. But forecasted high winds, heavy rain, and rough seas made getting to and from the island unsafe, and the Block Island Ferry canceled service. The couple ultimately chose Gooseneck Vineyards in North Kingstown for their rehearsal dinner and The Venue at Wilcox in Charlestown for the wedding.
