A couple’s year-long plans for a wedding on Block Island were disrupted by a weekend storm that forced them to relocate the celebration. Maya Bass and her fiancé Jeff had booked the Block Island Ferry for their ceremony, but it was canceled due to forecasted high winds, heavy rain, and rough seas. The couple ultimately chose Gooseneck Vineyards in North Kingstown and The Venue at Wilcox in Charlestown as new venues, despite facing challenges with finding a new caterer, florist, and other vendors. The couple’s guests have been understanding of the changes, and the ceremony is still expected to take place on Saturday.
